5 Ways You Can Still Participate in Earth Month

As Earth Month is coming to an end, we thought we’d remind our readers that there are still opportunities to participate in campaigns that benefit the environment and environmental causes. This is something that we hold dear as we consider ourselves one of the leading green call centres in North America. For example, we are 100% green powered, have facility-wide recycling of glass, paper, wire, cable, electronics and cardboard, office cleaned using toxin-free green products only, practice responsible consumption practices and have instituted an office-wide plastic water bottle ban. Enough about us and our CSR business Programs because we can go on and on. Today we are featuring 5 events that will make it easy for you to contribute to making the planet a little healthier:

Recycle Across America (RAA) and Recycle Across the World (RAW) “let’s recycle right”

RAA and RAW are 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizations and they are “dedicated to simplifying the act of recycling for the general public to help them recycle more and help them recycle right .” Did you know that in the US less than 35% of waste is recycled and that a large portion of what is collected is contaminated with garbage making it not suitable for use? RAA and RAW are working hard to change/improve those facts with standardized labels and education are the way to get people to not only recycle, but to do it properly. Those wanting to support this mission can get a celebrity endorsed “let’s recycle right” t-shirt or tank top free with a $45 donation. Many stars have gotten involved and are doing PSA’s for the organization including Kristen Bell, Peter Facinelli, Angie Harmon, Stana Katic, Chris Salgardo and Gabby Reece. The organization also sells standardize labels online that businesses and residences can place on their bins to lessen confusion and encourage people to recycle.
