Heart&Stroke Lottery Launches Winter 2012 Lottery Fundraising Program

For over 10 years Miratel Solutions have proudly provided professional fundraising services to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in support of its lottery fundraising programs which have become a key fundraising initiative for this important volunteer-based health charity.

Founded in 1952 the organization’s main purpose continues to be education in the community towards prevention, as well as medical research to make significant strides in treatment and rehabilitation of those afflicted with the disease. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario currently funds more than 600 researchers and research teams at medical institutes, universities and hospitals across Ontario. Their goal: to eliminate heart disease and stroke and improve the quality of life for thousands of Canadians affected by these conditions. Heart disease or stroke takes the life of one Canadian every seven minutes and ranks as the number one killer amongst women, making the work of these teams even more critical.

The Foundation receives no operational funding from the government and therefore relies on the generous support of its fundraising programs by its donors to sustain their mission of Giving Canadians Longer, Fuller Lives. The Foundation organizes many valuable community based fundraising events throughout the year but its largest fundraising initiatives continue to be their lottery fundraising programs.

This year the Heart&Stroke Lottery includes an exciting prize pool topped off with an incredible $2 million Grand Prize! Other prizes include:

Thank you for reading. In response to your question regarding the allocation of funds, 100% of net proceeds from the lottery goes to funding much needed heart and stroke research. Thank you again for stopping by.
